The Uttarakhand Association of Calgary (UAC) was established in 2010 with a vision to create a thriving community for people from the Uttarakhand region of India who reside in Calgary. Our association aims to bring together individuals and families from Uttarakhand to foster a sense of belonging, celebrate our rich cultural heritage, and build lasting connections.

With diverse professional backgrounds, each member brings unique insights and expertise to strengthen our programs, events, and outreach efforts.
A pioneer in uniting the Uttarakhand community in Calgary, Kailash moved to the city in 2003 and began connecting individuals with shared roots and culture, laying the foundation for the association.
Arriving in December 2005, Darshan joined efforts with Kailash to strengthen the community bonds and bring together people from Uttarakhand.
A founding member who played a key role in organizing events and promoting cultural unity, Dinesh’s dedication contributed greatly to the community’s growth.
